It can be quite a surprise to find out that even inmates in a jail can have access to sex toys but the rules governing the use of these products can be quite strict. I know this all too well as I recently had a friend who was incarcerated and we ended up discussing his newfound interest in sex toys.

When we had first heard rumours of sex toys being allowed in jail from one of my friend’s more outgoing cellmates, we were naturally quite taken aback. How could something so forbidden be allowed within the confines of an entire jail? It didn’t make sense to us. But after doing a bit of research we found out that prison authorities don’t allow sexual interaction between inmates and that the toys are there basically as self-pleasure devices.

We couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of it all. Sure, it was good that my friend had access to something that could provide a bit of stress relief during a trying time in his life, but still, sex dolls it almost seemed too good to be true.

Yes, inmates are allowed to have sex toys but it doesn’t stop there. Apparently they also have access to pornographic material should they desire it. Obviously, for obvious security reasons, this is heavily regulated and only certain types of material are allowed. Certain websites are restricted or blocked, presumably because the material on them could be considered a security risk.

Now that might sound like a lot of freedom, but it is all heavily regulated. Even the type of sex toys that a person can have access to in prison is limited and there is no access to anything that can be used as a weapon or as a means for someone to cause harm.

To make sure that nothing gets smuggled into the jail, inmates are also subjected to body searches each time they enter and leave the cell block. It’s the only way to make sure that nothing inappropriate is slipping through the cracks and it gives us peace of mind knowing those checks are in place.

My friend seemed to think that it was great that the prison authorities understand that inmates still have natural needs and that they want to do whatever they can to help make their time easier. I suppose it’s a sign that prison guards have more of an open-mind when it comes to inmates’ needs, and that’s definitely a good thing.

I guess the big question we had was – was this a one-time thing, or will there be more sex toys allowed in prison in the future? I’m not sure if authorities will move in that direction, but we certainly hope they do. There’s no denying that inmates still have human needs, and being able to fulfill them in a respectful and monitored way is definitely an idea worth exploring.

One thing I think prisoners would definitely appreciate is to have access to different types of sex toys. This would allow them to explore their interests and experiment with different products. Vibrators, dildos and cock rings are all available in the outside world, so why not make them available within the prison walls too?

I’m also sure that inmates would love to have access to more sexually-related entertainment as well. Just a few movies every now and then could be a great way for them to unwind after a hard day of work. Movies with sexy scenes and interesting plots would definitely be welcome in the tight confines of a cell.

Another idea I think would be great is to have more training programs available that focus on topics like sexual health and safety. This would allow inmates to not only stay safe while still fulfilling their sexual needs but would also give them more knowledge about topics like STDs and contraception.

Finally, I think it would be a great idea to allow inmates to receive care packages from friends and family that may contain appropriate sexual items. Obviously this would have to heavily regulated to make sure nothing harmful is being sent, but it could be a great way to help inmates fulfill their sexual needs while staying safe.

In the end, it’s ultimately up to the prison authorities to decide what they are comfortable with in terms of sex toys and other sexual items allowed in prison. All we can hope for is that they are able to keep an open mind and make decisions that both keep inmates safe and allow them to fulfill their sexual needs.
