I have been giving some thought lately about the concept of silicone sex dolls. You know the ones – life-like, anatomically-correct, perfect in every way down to the smallest details. Sure, they are a very intriguing concept, but how do you think about them? Personally, I think they may be a bridge too far – and I’ll tell you why.

For starters, I’m not sure these dolls would ever be able to provide the same type of emotional connection that a person could. I mean, think about it: these dolls are created by humans and so far, don’t possess any type of artificial intelligence or emotion, and therefore, forming an intimate connection with them could be a struggle.

In addition, it feels a bit creepy and unnatural having a ‘perfect’ doll lying around at home. Not to mention, what if your partner stumbled across it? There could be serious trouble there. A real-life partner is full of flaws and imperfections that make it all the more special.

I also feel a bit uneasy about the idea that humans could be replaced by dolls. Believe it or not, some people are even investing in lifelike dolls in order to reduce their reliance on human interaction. Now, wouldn’t that be tragic? After all, we humans need other humans!

Finally, vibrators there’s always the implicit risk in using a sex doll as an artificial surrogate – what if it turns out to be a bad influence on our behavior? Most people seem to think that using a sex doll is completely harmless, and while for some people it may indeed be the case, for others it could lead to addictive behaviors.

All in all, while silicone sex dolls are indeed interesting, I’m not completely convinced that they should be given so much attention. It’s a fascinating concept, but as I said, dildos it may be a bridge too far. That’s just my opinion – what’s yours?
